Real Time Workshop

Real Time Workshop has been launched by Industry Forum to complement the Master Class and Team Leader Training programs. Aimed at middle and senior management, this flexible fast-paced four-day program is an ideal introduction to Industry Forum's tools and techniques.

The Real Time Workshop is a unique opportunity to understand, on a practical basis, the continuous improvement techniques used in Lean Manufacturing.

Teams of five to eight participants learn about the techniques by having hands-on experience in implementation. The participants achieve this by setting up and improving a real production process. The Workshop consists of a series of teach points, delivered by the IF Engineer, which then link to practical improvement sessions.

During the course of the Workshop, participants also discuss and develop a plan to take back and implement within their own business. The skills and techniques they will learn include;

  • Data Analysis
  • Workplace Organisation (5C Program)
  • Waste Elimination
  • Standardised Work
  • Visual Management
  • One Piece Flow

The Real Time Workshop is an extremely flexible package that can be run within a company's own training facility or at an off-site location. This makes it perfect for:

  • Senior managers looking to understand the structure and skills needed to support a continuous improvement program in their company.
  • First Line Supervision requiring the tools and techniques to lead teams through continuous improvement activity.
  • Complementary training for middle management staff who need to take ownership of shop floor improvement activities within their areas of control.

Follow-up sessions after each Workshop are an integral part of the program. Bookings can be taken for single company groups or individual delegates from several companies working together.
