Lean ToolsThe program aims to raise awareness amongst companies of the potential Quality, Cost and Delivery benefits from reviewing the current working practices and processes of staff throughout the company. The program consists of four phases and could be seen as a foundation for achieving QS9000, ISO/TS 16949. The College’s four-phase approach to sustainable learning encompasses initial diagnostics, customisation, delivery and continuous support. Phase 1 Diagnostic A business diagnostic phase with senior managers leads to the recommendation covering the needs of the company and its employees in the area of manufacturing process improvement. Phase 2 Strategy and Vision Participants at senior to middle management level receive hands on experience of proven manufacturing process improvement tools and techniques. The outcome is an action plan( tasks, roles, responsibilities, budgets, resources, time-scales, skill, requirements, training requirements) in line with the business goals for implementing best practice within the company.
Phase 3 Staged Workshops The learning workshops targeted at shop floor to middle management level staff help support the implementation of the action plan. Quantifiable key performance indicators are identified by the program deliverers in consultation with the middle and senior managers at your company. Participants apply the learning to processes within the company with the objective of achieving improvements in these indicators. Phase 4 Follow-upContinuous support from the Automotive College partners before, during and after the implementation of the action plan. Program coverage:
