E Tools

The program aims to introduce Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and E-Tools and to match them for company needs. The potential Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) improvement benefits from the use of E-Tools is symptomatic of any successful business.

discussion The College's four-phase approach to sustainable learning encompasses initial diagnostics, customisation, delivery and continuous support.

Phase 1   Diagnostic

A business diagnostic phase with senior managers leads to a recommendation covering the needs of the company and its employees in the area of E-Tools.

Phase 2   Strategy and Vision

Participants  at  senior to  middle management  level receive  advice and guidance on E-Tools, ICT and its implementation. The outcome is an action plan (tasks, roles, responsibilities, budgets, resources, time-scales, skill requirements, training requirements) in line with the business goals for implementing best practice E-Tools within the company.

Phase 3   Staged Workshops

The customised workshops targeted at shop floor to middle management level staff cover 'awareness and basics', 'strategy and planning', 'infrastructure and specific applications'.  The  program  recognises  that  some  companies, which are ' ICT - sophisticates', may require specific applications whilst others may need to start with basics and awareness. The diagnostic phase helps identify which workshops are required.

Phase 4    Follow-up

Continuous support from the Automotive College partners before, during and after the implementation of the action plan.
